A UK school has apologised after instructing students to write a mock suicide note as part of an English task.
As part of their studies, the student were then tasked with penning a suicide note from the point of view of the young woman in the play, something parents branded a "massive fail." "The actual assignment was 'imagine you are a young woman in 1912 writing a suicide letter to those who care about you,'" claimed the mother of a Cheney School student when speaking with theThe mother, who remains unidentified, was "genuinely shocked" when her own child brought the task home from school, adding that it made her feel "uncomfortable and uneasy."
What the ? What kind of school does this- our education system is becoming a farce. A joke - teachers don’t teach and parents have to pay for tutors for their children to pass a subject. Crap education and getting worse!!
I don’t believe the words exist to describe how sad, mad and stupid this task is. I cannot see anything positive in this exercise.
Whoever did this should be sacked immediately, then charged with encouraging students to write these notes, there must be a law against this behaviour. Shocking.
