Poquoson school officials said swift action needed to be taken. Superintendent Dr. Jennifer Parish noted in a statement the decision had been made to cancel the football game because the school has"a responsibility to do everything we can to keep our students safe."
She said:"The language and behavior in these videos have no place in our schools or in our community. We find it abhorrent, and, while these videos were created outside of school, we are taking action within the scope of our Code of Conduct and under division policy." "While we know some will be disappointed... we also have a responsibility to help our students understand that behavior has consequences," Parish added."We will continue to take a strong and unified stance against racist behavior and language. Our schools welcome and serve all students, and we stand firm in our effort to maintain safe educational spaces for all students.
Lets hope those kids are severely punished. They need to learn there are consequences for bad behavior.
Get Ralph Northam on the line.☎️
Kids “ learn “ from their parents and neighbors , teachers and coaches . THEY ARE THE DISGUSTING EXAMPLE , kids copy !
Why is this news? Oh right, to keep racism alive.
Not condoning what they did but I’m sooooo glad I went to high school before smart phones and social media.
