Nearly all the 2020 Dems support raising pay for teachers, but only a handful have offered specifics. Explore where they stand:

A policy proposal by Sen. Kamala Harris is the most aggressive and expansive teacher pay proposal among the 2020 candidates so far. The California senator’s campaign said the plan would give the average teacher a raise of $13,500.

Former Vice President Joe Biden would nearly triple Title I funding and require districts to use the funds to give educators "competitive salaries" and make other "critical investments" before using the money for other purposes.

SethAbramson I went to public schools in CA, I had some of the worst teachers imaginable, including a falling down drunk (6th grade) with a bottle in his desk and epic halitosis I can still smell today. Perverts hitting on the girls. Nurse Ratched. But YES, pay them better, for MERIT!!!

Ridiculous. Doctors save human lives.
