Actually Susan B Anthony was a serious abolitionist. She fought for voting rights & full citizenship for black people and for women. Women’s suffrage was put on the chopping block. She thought the 15th amendment should include race and sex, or we’d have a male aristocracy.
Anyway, this is a case of statues I'd be willing to debate. Do we leave up statues of SBA because of the good she did despite stuff like the above? Very different from fairly recent crummy statues put up by the Daughters of the Confederacy.
