Across the country, the Atlantic Coast Conference paces the East Coast, with four member institutions qualifying, including Duke. The University of Virginia is fresh off its first-ever men’s basketball NCAA tournament championship, while the University of Notre Dame , whose teams exclusive of football and hockey compete in the ACC, and the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill continued to dominate on the field and in the classroom.
