Vanisre Rajasegaran, who lives in Warrnambool on Victoria's Great Ocean Road, was in her final months of year 12 and looking forward to sitting her final exams in October when she was told her family would be forced to return to Singapore, the country they left seven years ago., which aims to prevent people from migrating to Australia who's health care could pose a significant cost to the taxpayer.
"I got this text from a family group chat in Singapore and I didn't know if it was real ... so I immediately called dad and he was screaming on the phone and I was absolutely shocked, in joys, in tears. "I can focus on what needs to be focused on, like my VCE, which is much more important at the moment, to decide how to plan out my future," she said. This star student is facing deportation from Australia weeks out from her final exams
In response, the family's local MP and federal education minister Dan Tehan said earlier this week that the support for theRajasegaren Manikam, Vanisre's father, said he the family was receiving"calls after calls" from family, friends and members of the community who were overjoyed to hear the news.
Now help out Sidney Vo who has been here for 12 years, working, paying taxes, completing a degree & looking after Aussie kids the whole time!! You r just sending her back like she is trash!! Shame on you David Coleman!!!
Great news but I’m not sure why the government has let cases like these come to this situation.. repeatedly.
Coleman you are inhuman.
Meanwhile others are stupid enough to pay thousands of dollars on visa applications and all kinds of legal formalities.
Wonder if they would have had any chance to stay if the Family was White! Funny how Leftist Countries like Australia hate White people and dont care but put out the Red Carpet for anyone else of Color!
Crazy.
'Vanisre's father ... failed the government's immigration health requirement' So how do we explain applying strict immigration rules to some people, and not to others? Where is the justice there?
Very happy for you
