When teen Brooke Hutchesson learned that the girls at her school regarded the ugly female toilets as their safe space, she took matters into her own hands leading a community-wide makeover project.

"Almost one-fifth of all young people aged 11 to 17 years experience high or very high levels of psychological distress," a spokesperson said."It's really sad that there's a lot of body talk that's negative and not positive, because we should all love our bodies," she said.

But in an effort to provide support to her fellow female students, it became clear that the 'retreat' they were using to escape was unsuitable. "That safe space is sort of ugly and really sad and kind of needs something if we're going to use it as a safe space."

Education horizon.? Gloomy facilities, I recall, lowered anticipated standards. We all adapted to a future, like live stock, driven through yards and races splattered with fear, previous generations bucked, kicked and rebelled against. Your servitude in this world, 🥁 surfaces

Amazing how this makes people angry for some bizarre reason.

What’s ironic is that girls are the worst for bullying other girls. They all have access to the same “safe space”!

Safe spaces! No wonder our kids lack emotional resilience! We are turning our kids into a generation that will hit the real world after school and fail.

'I can't have a life': Teen forced to quit school over lack of public dental helpAn Adelaide student who says she's been waiting years for life-changing dental and orthodontic surgery in the public system has had to drop out of mainstream school because of her health issues. Looks like Nikki should be doing some excercise and eating less sugar. Poor kid looks like the problems may be associated with a genetic disorder, I would have thought that people like that should have their treatment fast-tracked to give them the best start in life because it is going to be a struggle for them anyway. Her and her family are too poor to pay for her 'life changing' surgery but she can afford an apple watch (presumably an iPhone to go along with it), manicure and to get her hair dyed. Guess those must have all been more 'life changing' 🤔
