COMMENT | Yes, because the learning about culture is a one-way street in Malaysia.

“Keep your language. Love its sounds, its modulation, its rhythm. But try to march together with men of different languages, remote from your own, who wish like you for a more just and human world.”COMMENT | I get worked up whenever non-Malays talk about the beauty of multiculturalism and how Malaysia is a melting pot of cultures and how we are all 'Bangsa Malaysia'.

UKM’s Institute of Ethnic Studies Teo Kok Seong said, “This kind of attitude shows that we have actually failed in the process of establishing a nation of one heart and one soul.” Well, of course we have failed in establishing a nation of one heart and one soul. Why? Because we have a constitution that defines us along racial lines, a political system divided by race, a bureaucracy dominated by a majority and political operatives who claim that the state-sanctioned religion gives them the mandate to rule over non-Muslims who should be “

CAN U GIVE ME A BIBLE IN THAT USE KHAT AND JAWI?

No problem for khat script but shouldn't Malay develop writing system of its own? Why still have the colony mindset?

Simply waste of valuable time. Teach something more constructive.

Put Chinese calligraphy also...the dogs will stop barking

I like Chinese calligraphy....so wat? Dont be like certain malay fear to Cross. So stupid

It's a non Malay fear I don't fear this for my son, I don't fear my son learning it. I question it's relevance to his future. He is already learning Malay.

Yes the non malay fear... coz when the job market in future will demand for it. So much demand till it's so scary. It's so important that if you dont know ... nobody in the world will hire you. forestgump

There's many Malay family sent their children to Chinese school...and Malay thrives in China like Shila...my opinion as a Chinese who was forced to read Arabic back in 1976 nobody complaint...so doing khat or seeing a cross don't make you less a Muslim or a Buddhist unless ..

Mazlee has plans to open a circus once he gets booted out . Not forgetting , some ministers are gonna be joining the same band wagon .

Mazlee is wasting everyone time.

Learn for what purpose?

it is not fear ; do you do computer programming logic or simple excel program using it ?

Bozos!

The way they r working like big brother n power is king

Why call it fear? It's just aversion to another heaped serving of the same old same old monologue of self aggrandisement via the emphasis of a non marketable subject. It isn't fear. But push it hard enough and your misnomer of fear will turn into unmistakable loathing.

It's not fear but rather common sense. Thailand is planning to introduce programming and Estonia already implemented 3d printing in primary school. Implement khat but make it optional.

shld respect the non muslims rights whether to learn or not Jawi..

Bringing in courses like design and composition will create more value. Our ministers never fail to deliver the worst education policy. Dumb and dumber.

There’s no fear, but anger.

maszlee impeove the quality of the education and dont introduce something that has no commercial value

What is the significant of learning it?

When a nurse doesn't know even what's a spirit swab....yes....we are worried.
