Those are problems we did as 9-yr old in math class. A quick glance & it was solved as 1 with such simple numbers.
And the dozy mare still managed not to resolve it. Whether you call it pemdas, bidmas or bodmas, the way it's written means you go left to right after doing the brackets because division and multiplication are of equal status. Answer is therefore 16. Education is in decline.

you need to multiply the parenthesis first before you divide so it is 1. 8/(2x2+2x2)=1

You do not have to be a maths professor to figure this one out. The issue comes from the rule you choose to follow, but both are correct. BODMAS = 16 PEMDAS = 1
BIDMAS B-2+2=4 D-8 divided by 2=4 M-4x4=16 Thus giving the answer of 16

Precalc has been dropped in most schools now for a multitude of reasons, including incorrect calculations by several young doctors, nurses and pharmacists leading to patients being put at risk. The gold old 'parenthesis are separate calculations' method never creates that error.
I am not a mathematician but basic rule of BODMAS says you need to solve the brackets and the power attached to that first , then division, multiplication, addition and subtraction from left to right.

You don't need to be a mathematician to solve this kind of equations 8÷2(2+2)=8÷(2×2+2×2)=8÷(4+4)=8÷8=1. It's simple.

The different sequence of operation will get different result of operation. You will get 1 in the sequence 1 and 16 in the sequence 2. I lean toward 16.
According to PEMDAS rule, it's 1 If the division of the equation is altered to fraction, here is the difference according to what denominator is? If it's 2(2+2), it's 1 And if it's 2, it will be 16.

If you haven't heard of PEMDAS you had TERRIBLE schooling growing up and may have been subject to the common core cancer. Answer is 1 and I could have solved this by 6th grade.
