The former Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu has explained that corruption was still a menace and was ongoing in Buhari’s government despite spirited efforts to stop it.
“Corruption in Nigeria is systemic. People have been prosecuted and assets seized, but corruption is still ongoing”, the former Minister of Education said. “Considering the appointment of Vice Chancellor, I know what it means because I have always been under pressure from the people of the affected States who says appointment of Vice Chancellor must be somebody from their area.
“Before, the University use to select, bring it to the Minister and the Minister takes it to the President, but now, it’s for the Minister’s information.
