DAVAO CITY - The Department of Education 11 had asked security forces in the town of Talaingod, Davao del Norte to secure their teachers assigned in far-flung barangays from the threat of Pangayaw (tribal war).

– The Department of Education 11 had asked security forces in the town of Talaingod, Davao del Norte to secure their teachers assigned in far-flung barangays from the threat of Pangayaw .Mayor Jonnie Libayao urged the teachers not to go to schools in very remote areas for them to be spared from the conflict.

“It is not good that something of this sort has transpired, whether the issue on ‘Pangayaw’ is true or not,” he said. Libayao said he received a text message on Sunday from the teachers regarding the threat and he submitted this to the Talaingod Municipal Police Station. Libayao sent a message to all Datus in Talaingod, especially to the tribal leaders in far-flung communities.
