The flying aspirations of octogenarian Bobby Coote began with a peculiarly vivid dream when he was just 20 years old.
Bobby said: “I always thought about flying. I was about 20 years of age and I dreamt I flew a plane – really flew –going over fields and going over mountains and down into valleys. Bobby added: “It feels great – it just feels like you did something, you know? Especially when you see“When I landed in the film it was a bit wobbly all over the place but, anyway, I made it.”
The award-winning film, directed by Frank Shouldice and shot by Dave Perry, reveals how Bobby enlisted the help of his neighbour Sean.They even built a hangar in the small rural community to house Bobby’s plane, a Gemini microlite.
