The long read: French food was the envy of the world – before it became trapped by its own history. Can a new school of traditionalists revive its glories?

This article is very personal and represent only a certain POV. But the reality of french food in a major city like Paris is more complex than that. Depending on the money you like to spend on a menu, your revenue and also and the amount of time you like to spend at the table...

Massively over rated

I think there's a lot to love about French food if you do away with the laziness and complacency which has encroached on it over time.

If you are French it never fell. It's apart of daily life, we don't care who else eats it.

Went to France, french food was almost not available, except for baguettes and Nutela crepes.

Just ate in Paris for a week. No failures at all. Fabulous cuisine galore.
