History and English are not 'mickey mouse subjects' but get you nowhere fast unless you teach, which is my plan. Was told before studying history that it was full of transferable skills - but so is every degree so it's a struggle to stand out

Because 70% of degrees are in subjects that are of no actual use to society. They exist purely to justify the employment of ‘academics ‘ and as a money magnet.

I know people who still haven’t passed their GCSE’s in Maths and English and will likely fail their A Levels tomorrow, who have unconditional offers to Unis. And yet people can’t figure out why degrees are becoming worth less and less. There’s too many places.

Oh who would have thought that degree in gender studies wouldn't have brought me a three figure salary 🙄

I'd avoid that Journalism M.A. for a start. Akin to becoming a DVD repair technician.

Avoid Teesside.

Enrol for some common sense first!
