From WSJopinion: Look to Providence, Rhode Island for a case study in public school failure and lack of accountability

The National Education Association held its annual convention this past weekend, and the Democratic presidential candidates made their pilgrimage to promise the teachers union more money—and even more money. One word we didn’t hear on stage was “Providence,” as in the Rhode Island capital city whose public schools were recently exposed as a horror show of government and union neglect.

Peeling lead paint, brown water, leaking sewage pipes, broken asbestos tiles, rodents, frigid and chaotic classrooms, and student failure were...

opinion Why should taxpayers fund K-12 education when it’s nothing more than daycare for kids whose parents never taught them to respect their teachers and pay attention in class? Pervasive bullying and the retention of inept teachers signal the kind of brutal rot usually found in jails.

Why We NEED Sex Education for Disabled People“Just because a person has a disability does not mean they don’t still have the same hormones and sexual desires as other individuals.” Some rehabilitation centers offer sex ed classes for newly disabled individuals and their significant others during the course of the rehab. They make resources available, but it doesn't seem like they're widespread. There definitely needs to be more resources.
