PETALING JAYA: Malaysia has held discussions with the Japanese government on collaboration on issues relating to labour and technical and vocational education training (TVET), says the Human Resource Minister.

M. Kulasegaran said on Thursday that the meeting also touched on future cooperation in terms of research and training in the labour market.

According to him, the discussion with Japan took place when a delegation led by Japan's State Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare Emiko Takagai, met on the sidelines of the 108th Session of the International Labour Conference in Geneva, Switzerland this week. "The discussion is also a prelude to a future working visit to Japan which will aim to conclude talks on several matters," said Kulasegaran.
