The Lagos University Teaching Hospital Association of Resident Doctors (LUTH-ARD) has said that its members will hold a meeting today...

The Lagos University Teaching Hospital Association of Resident Doctors has said that its members will hold a meeting today, Monday, June 17, 2019 to reconsider its position on the ongoing indefinite strike.

The association, through its President, Dr. Kayode Makinde, said the meeting, which would hold at 2:00 p.m., was as a result of the intervention of the Ministry of Health and other stakeholders. Makinde, who spoke with The Guardian on phone yesterday, said the strike still continues with no plan to call it off except their demands are met, adding that the offers made by LUTH management on Saturday to appeal to the striking doctors would not be disclosed until members of the association meet to determine their stand.
