Newly-minted Labor leader Anthony Albanese has unveiled his shadow ministry, comprised equally of men and women. Labor's cabinet consists of 12 women and 12 men, with Mr Albanese saying his frontbench reflects 'the balance in Australian society.
' Some of the most notable appointments include Kristina Keneally, who will take on the high profile position of Opposition Home Affairs spokesperson. Former party leader Bill Shorten has remained on the frontbench and will take over the NDIS and Government Affairs portfolios, while the former deputy Tanya Plibersek has stayed on as Shadow Minister for Education and Training, but lost the portfolio for Women.
