U.S. Rep. John Lewis urged graduates of Framingham State University in Massachusetts to 'get in trouble' and to 'build bridges, not walls.'

U.S. Rep. John Lewis urged graduates of Framingham State University in Massachusetts on Sunday to"get in trouble" and to build"bridges, not walls."

He hearkened back to his days growing up in a segregated South, and remembered being told not to question the status quo. "I'd advise each and every one of you young people to go out and to get in trouble, come make our country a better place," he said.

The students need to advance themselves and their families and supportAmerica no one politician

Lewis road MLK’s coat tails his entire life.......

This might be the worst advise ever given! It doesn't get better than America!

yes, catch a failure to comply felony and become unemployable. It sure is a fun time. You'll find ready built walls awaiting and ready. Been there, done that. Do not recommend.

Let's get in trouble America. VOTE THIS M'F out. We need everyone on board. Across our 50 states. VoteJoeBidenToSaveAmerica

True hero! May he Rest In Peace he did so much for so many.

He was a race divider, not a race unifier. Him, TheRevAl and RevJJackson look at civil rights as nothing more than a paycheck. One down and two to go!

Not anymore

Unless those walls are around your gated community.

John Lewis? Oh I thought it was the retail store in the UK. Oops

EnemyOfThePeople

Great?

“We will march thru the South, thru the heart of Dixie, the way Sherman did. We shall pursue our own scorched earth policy & burn Jim Crow to the ground - nonviolently. We shall fragment the South into 1K pieces & put them back together in the image of democracy.” goodtrouble

I've heard him refer to good trouble. bridges are a linkage instead of an obstacle. It's a good phrase build bridges not walls, and it's a pretty obvious one to use right now as Trump touts the wall and hangs a neon sign that says closed. I guess that's why he wanted solar panels

Can't suggest this at a HBCU because he knows that advice will get a Black Person killed these days

They won’t get in more trouble or b more abused than if they stand w POTUS. realDonaldTrump & his supporters sustain the most vitriol & violence of any group in America.

Did he pay their student loans off?😂😂
