Labour has pledged to make the global climate emergency a core element of the school curriculum from primary school onwards, in response to demands by young people taking part in a series of school climate strikes.
It’s the adults that are the problem not the kids!!
This sounds like a great start but the adults need to be walking the talk too.
If it is an emergency, something needs to be done before the kids grow up and apply that learning.
Idiots, scaring kids with it is child abuse.
And stupid laws like this if they through will halt climate change efforts. People will be too embarrassed to choose greener options due to the ridiculous names! The proposal is alienating and will lead to bullying in schools.
Yes, so All UK School Children, when at Home with Their Parents, hear Their Parents say, 'We're Flying Away Again This Summer', will All resoundingly reply, 'No, We're All on Climate Strike, We are All Grounded Forever, It's Home Forever, for Us, Meditation & Walks in The Park.'
After scaring all the kids shitless we now come up with the solution .... more government.

1st day of Uni Environmental Science degree we were told of the climate emergency. That was 1993. Imagine how different it would be now if everyone was told then.
i was taught this stuff at school 25 yrs ago. Kids these days even more so. Labour out of touch again! It’s not lack of education of citizens, it’s the powerful doing next to nothing! the unwillingness to fix the economic system. corrupted democracy. broken int’l institutions.
