A national charity has called for school music lessons to be overhauled to include grime, electronic music and hip-hop after research found that more inclusive music-making improves attendance among pupils at risk of exclusion.
lemziartist has been doing this in schools in Essex and east London for a few years now!
For the few schools that still have music lessons can we focus on music made with instruments as thats what kids choosing that option will be interested in rather than taking bollocks to someone else's ripped off music

Part of the Music curriculum should be about the historical/cultural/political impacts and influences. So many people get turned off by “what instruments can you hear in this 300 year old song” lessons.
