The Academic Staff of Union of Universities Kwara State University Malete Branch has chided Kwara State Government for interfering in the institution’s affairs, which led to the institution’s forced closure on Thursday, as 10 year of uninterrupted academic session.
The institution’s Deputy Vice Chancellor, Professor Saka Nuhu, on Thursday, announced the closure till further notice after threats from the National Association of Nigerian Students to make the institution ungovernable, claiming alleged undue procedure in the appointment of an Acting Vice Chancellor.
The implication of the closure might lead to the inability of the management to meet several of its obligations.
