Damian Hinds: European elections 'ultimate protest vote'

The European Parliament elections will be seen as an opportunity for the ultimate protest vote, Education Secretary Damian Hinds has said.

Brexit Party leader Nigel Farage told the show there had been a breakdown in trust between people and politicians. The UK had been due to leave the EU on 29 March, but the deadline was pushed back to 31 October after Parliament was unable to agree a way forward. Mr Hinds said:"I don't think anyone is in any doubt these are going to be difficult elections for us - that much has been clear from the very start.

Bye, bye Tories looking forward to your parliamentary demise as not voting for you, Labour, Lib Dems or anyone else who does not deliver on what I voted for!

How so? You could get fewer voters interested if you tried . . . Even those wishing to remain in the EU aren’t sure what they would be voting for!

DamianHinds I am a party member and it is not a protest vote it is a vote for a party that wishes to honour the referendum you can continue in denial of your failures but if anything it will be a second referendum I hope you are happy to have destroyed the conservative party

If you want to participate in the ultimate protest vote, vote GREEN rather than for the party that’ll be representing our country on the international stage with the political equivalent of flipping the bird. Your kids & grandkids will understand you really did do this for them.

Wait for the general election before you say ultimate ....

Er why is the story do we see that poster that was factually incorrect, incendiary and condemned by all. Why is this being used, before elections, this would not seem to be balanced. There should at least be a b**** to Brexit poster for balance.

Spin from scared Tories

This is not going to be a protest vote it will a vote to ChangePoliticsForGood brexitparty_uk Nigel_Farage We are sick and tired of being lied to by politicians who are only after feathering their own nests. The next GE will be a real shocker for the political elite.

I'll vote for brexitparty_uk but it WON'T be a protest vote DamianHinds. It'll be a vote gone forever from the Conservatives. You said you'd deliver Brexit and you're doing everything possible to avoid it. You lied and lied and lied.

‘ ‘BBCPolitics make sure they’re on a weeks notice period only, cos we really don’t need them !

They want to make it out to be a protest vote. Their like snakes these politicians. This is an unofficial referendum. After this we want out if brexit party win.

I think it has gone beyond the protest vote now. There only chance to stop the likes of NF is to fully deliver on Brexit Anything less will leave the door open for someone who the voter believe will do what they promise. To many voters will not believe what our MPs say

No DamianHinds. Not a protest vote. We voted once and our votes were not heard. So now we vote for another party who will hear them. It's that simple. If you believe otherwise may I suggest you consider your future in politics.

To suggest that this is a protest vote is to suggest that at all other times you are obliged to vote either Conservative or Labour. What arrant nonsense. Each party should have to earn your vote on an election-by-election basis. The very concept of a protest vote is ridiculous.

No they’re not a protest DamianHinds Foolish man

It is so utterly patronising of Conservative Ministers to use the word 'protest' as a term of denigration and belittlement instead of acknowledging and respecting an utterly disgusted and angry electorate who they should be listening attentively too.

It's not a protest vote. It's people turning to a party that is committed to the pledge the Tories gave, but then ballsed it right up. A strong leader who had mettle would have ensured Farage would have stayed dormant. This is all on Theresa May's shoulders.

They just don’t get it do they Planks
