WALTON, Ky. — The lawyer for a Kentucky high school student who wasn’t allowed to participate in school activities because he wasn’t vaccinated for chickenpox says his client has now contracted the illness.
After an outbreak, students who weren’t vaccinated were ordered to stay away from Our Lady of the Assumption Church school and activities. Wiest said Tuesday about half his clients have contracted chickenpox since filing the case. He said he told parents that a child’s getting chickenpox would be the quickest way to resolve the case, since a bout of chickenpox confers immunity.
You can’t make this stuff up! Good for him!
Parents use to have their kids go play with the kid with chicken pox because it is more dangerous to get it for the first time as an adult. It weird to see it spun like childhood chicken pox is something to be scared of...
Oh no not the chicken pox
He will now have natural immunity w/o having any poison injected into him. His risk of developing shingles is the same as anyone vaccinated for chickenpox. There’s vaccine for shingles $450 here & I’m sure they will come out with another vaccine to correct its side effects.
I still dont get the problem here? If you vaccinate yourself and your kids then what do you care if someone isnt vaccinated?
itch your heart out.. everywhere
So he should have the right to spread this disease to others he comes into direct contact with? He better pay all the court & legal costs incurred with this level of stupidity!!!
Vaccination must be mandatory for all those without valid medical reasons to do so. Anti-vaxxers should be held culpable for the deaths and disease they help spread. They should be given no quarter.
Maybe allow insurance companies to rewrite their policies and not cover unvaccinated individuals.
'Merica!
An interesting harbinger of the impositions to come. Clearly bad for society, but “religious freedom” to impose their beliefs always gets the blessing of the judges. This is the blueprint for how easily a few can harm the many. In vaccines and in the larger things.
I wonder if the student’s parents will be willing to take off their tinfoil hats to listen to their doctor now that their child is sick now?
And stupid parents...
