30% Sarawak primary schools to have Maths, Science taught in English next year

Sarawak Education Minister Michael Manyin says Chinese schools' management boards have requested exemption from the policy of teaching Maths and Science in English, arguing that 'Mandarin is superior to English'. – The Malaysian Insight pic, May 8, 2019.

MATHEMATICS and English will be taught in English at 30% of Sarawak’s 1,265 primary schools starting next year. State Education, Science and Technological Research Minister Michael Manyin told the state assembly today that implementation will be done in stages.
