Ousted former prime ministers Malcolm Turnbull and Tony Abbott will not reunite for the Liberal Party’s campaign launch on Sunday, Scott Morrison insists.

The Prime Minister says ‘it’s not about who’s coming, it’s about who will be listening’ as he paints a picture of a hoopla-free event, seemingly distancing himself from Labor’s strategy to

feature former prime ministers Kevin Rudd, Julia Gillard and Paul Keating. Mr Morrison will on Tuesday pitch an expansion of a mobile blackspot program and funds for regional tertiary education.

A bit rough to wheel out the reason the LNP will lose. A purge is a purge is a purge.

At least they won’t put on a fake performance like billshortenmp and the AusLabourPrty auspol19

Thank you TurnbullMalcolm for your service to our country 3

Pack of gutless wonders.

'Unlike Labor … this is not about the party... it's all about me'

Turnbull has to much class for that

LOL!

Turnbull's is in witness protection, Abbott will turn up just to display that smirk.

Unfortunately Malcolm Turnbull missed the Labor Party launch because he had business to do in New York, but sent his apologies to Bill Shorten saying he would have liked to share the floor with ex pm’s Julia Gillard and Kevin Rudd.

Ah come on Tony and Mal😄 Need ya mate😂 Bloody labor run your side show and the libs will run theirs😂 Quite honestly the electorate has voted early as they have had their daily dose of politicians and more😂😂😂

Hahaahahaha, such a stable govt!

ScottMorrisonMP well that’s a surprise. This party was once a party you would vote for as it was progressive and represented all people and its needs. Last 6 years we had arrogance, self interest, shallow policies and total chaos. No vision for the future. Real muppet show.

It would be in Morrison's interest for neither to come. If Abbott is there shows he leans to the extreme right. If Turnbull there he shows he is more middle ground. He looses either way

Who cares, I got put out of a job once and have no intention of going to thier christmas parties. Whats the difference. All politicians say we are looking to the future, yet are expected to drag in the past to election launches.

For Scott Morrison this whole election is about Scott Morrison, that why it will be funny when the country emphatically rejects him in full.

Morro to represent the entire LNP at party campaign launch. Intends to have a government ministry of just himself.

Why would they want Turnbull there? He wrecked the party by dragging it to the left. Only the Labor party and the Turnbullites in the media (including Sky in the morning) want Turnbull there.

I was surprised that Turnbull wasn't a special guest at the Labor launch

Why would Tony not be there? That is weird, is he not part of the LNP team?

Smart thinking. At least they are not being pretentious about their unity, unlike the 'three amigos' at the Labor launch. I suspect it wouldn't be a good look for the party to have Turnbull cheering them on after his unprecedented behaviour.

They all have integrity
