A family from China paid a college counselor $6.5 million for help securing a spot at Stanford University, and connected to the counselor via a Morgan Stanley employee, according to a person familiar with the matter.
The involvement of Morgan Stanley illustrates how William “Rick” Singer, the Newport Beach, Calif., college consultant who has admitted to masterminding the alleged college-admissions cheating scheme, infiltrated wealthy networks to pitch his services.
'Another Chinese family paid..$1.2 million for..Yale..connecting..through.. Oppenheimer'

MS isn’t healthy but the money coming in is bc of Morgan Stanley
Lol wait til people start to see just how deep this goes. This has been known in academic circles for going on at least 20 years.
Give me $6+ millions & I’d skip the degree! 🤦🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️
My man Bernie...😐
Why would you pay so much? Not to be mean but is their kid that stupid? It’s stupid to pay such a ridiculous amount.
Ridiculous.
Paid a counselor or paid the University? I’m sure the IRS would be interested in the former?

My Daughter was accepted to every University she applied without paying a penny.
