A suspected gunman has been taken into custody after an incident at the University of North Carolina, Charlotte.

Two people have been killed and four others injured in a mass shooting on a college campus in the United States.

Shots reportedly rang out around 5pm Eastern Time, prompting a university-wide lockdown, with the school’s emergency management team sending an alert to students telling them to ‘run, hide, fight’.
