There is an imminent religious crisis in Osun State, as Ededimeji Muslim Community and Redeemer’s University are at loggerheads over parcels of land in Ede.
Mr. Wasiu AbdulAzeez, who spoke on behalf of 18 families that make up the community warned against provoking religious crisis in the town. He said, “Despite the incessant threats and intimidations from the hands of RCCG, we have remained persistently focused to pursue the case. “The horrible scene of mobilising over a hundred thugs and hoodlums with powerful arms and earth moving equipment on Wednesday March 6, 2019 to raze down the entire Oloya village, destroying Mosque, homesteads and plantation with impunity was most unfortunate, as property worth over N500million have been destroyed,” he said.
