International Medical University students were allowed back into the building following a sweep by the disposal bomb unit.

PETALING JAYA: Police today said that a bomb threat at a medical university, which led to the evacuation of students, was a hoax.

Cheras police chief Mohamed Mokhsein Mohamed Zon said the disposal bomb unit did not find any explosives following a sweep of the International Medical University in Bukit Jalil here. IMU staff and students, who had been evacuated from the building, were later allowed to enter the premises at 4.30pm.It was earlier reported that the students were told to vacate the premises by IMU’s management after they received a call claiming that there were explosives in the building.Subscribe to our newsletter and get news delivered to your mailbox.
