Prince George has been playing tennis since he was five and has even had a private lesson with Wimbledon legend Roger Federer, who is a close friend of his mum, the Princess of Wales.

The icon once detailed a private coaching session with the young royal, who started swinging a racket at just five years old.

The Princess would have no doubt scored significant mum points after arranging the personal tuition for her eldest son with the ex-pro player. "I'm the only player he's ever met. Then you have a little head start in who is your favourite player." Kate, a keen tennis enthusiast and patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, has forged a friendship with the ace over the years.

Last year, the popular royal joined forces with Roger Federer ahead of the iconic tennis event to showcase the dedicated efforts of the "amazingly professional" Wimbledon ball boys and girls.
