The National Education, Health and Allied Workers' Union is gearing up for a strike amid talks of looming retrenchments at the Durban University of Technology .

The union's provincial secretary, Ayanda Zulu, told News24 on Friday that, towards the end of last year, they were informed via a letter that DUT had implemented a restructuring process for operational purposes.South Africans need to be in the know if we want to create a prosperous future.
