Lorain City Schools are mourning the tragic death of a 6-year-old student killed Wednesday in a dog attack.

LORAIN, Ohio -

The district called for unity among their school families in wake of the Palm Elementary student’s passing.Lorain police said officers were sent to a home in the 1700 block of East 31st Street in regards to the attack shortly after 4 p.m. Wednesday. Officers investigated upon their arrival, Lorain Police Lt. Morris stated, and were later notified that the boy was pronounced dead from the injuries suffered during the attack.The Friendship APL said they took two medium-sized adult dogs, a Pitbull mix and a Shepherd mix that will be put down.Below is the full statement from Lorain City Schools:It is with deep sadness that we share the news of the unexpected passing of one of our kindergarteners from Palm Elementary.
