The Millersburg Area School District's superintendent says damage is significant.

A storm Saturday evening in Dauphin County destroyed the press box at the Millersburg Area School District's athletic field, sending it toppling over a fence and onto playground equipment for the new elementary school.Winds estimated in excess of 70 mph also picked up and tossed a ticket booth.No one was hurt.Dr. Lee Bzdil, the new superintendent, said damage is significant. The press box housed sound and lighting equipment for the scoreboard.

Business manager Eric Petery said, 'We're unsure if we are still able to control the scoreboard. It was the hub that ran our stadium.'A crew installing the new playground left just before the storm hit.The playground equipment may be replaced by the fall when the new elementary school opens, but it could take some time to build a new press box. Petery said they're working on some short-term ideas.'We're a resilient bunch, so we'll get it figured out,' he said.
