Jelly Roll pledged to 'help' his fan Joy Gadalla pay her $40K/year tuition at Belmont University during his free concert at the Assembly Food Hall's Skydeck in Nashville, TN on June 17.
After the first song, Jelly Roll pointed directly to Gadalla and said: 'We will help you get through school.' The former drug dealer has notoriously been jailed 40 times and, while he still drinks alcohol and smokes marijuana, he is sober from cocaine which inspired Joy.Before Jelly Roll's management team got in touch with her, the aspiring criminal justice lawyer 'was crying' and 'stressing' over how she was going to pay for college and yet she 'knew God was going to take care of everything.
Jelly Roll is also on an IVF fertility journey with his wife of seven years - porn star-turned-podcaster Alyssa 'Bunnie XO' DeFord - whom he began dating in 2016.
