Noor Azimah Abdul Rahim, a member of the National Education Advisory Council, says the country is short of 2,000 English language teachers, and that every year another 1,000 retire.

National Education Advisory Council member Noor Azimah Abdul Rahman says the country is short of 2,000 English language teachers.

“How will we ever close that gap? Unless the government comes to say that we have a national crisis, it will be difficult to bridge that gap,” she said at the National Education and Learning Summit 2019, here, today. Azimah also said they had been pushing for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics to be taught in English.

i part time tutor government school English teachers but I am not qualified to teach in government schools. LOL

Good job opportunity for an English Teacher in Malaysia. Period.

Tingkatan 1 sampai 6 i don't really like my English class way of teaching and 100% not efficient. Fact: grammar often did not develop a hell thing abt English.

When people apply, no response frm the Ministry.

How come there's still many graduates not having jobs? Absorb them to teach english like we did in the past.
