THE Technical Education and Skills Development Authority has officially accredited the Ifugao State University Competency Assessment Center for Handloom Weaving with National Competency 2 .IFSU information officer Faith Belingon Napudo said this achievement makes the center which promotes traditional craftsmanship the first authorized facility to conduct weaving assessments in the entire Cordillera Administrative Region and Luzon.
On May 20, 2024, a TESDA team consisting of regional office representative Daisy Jamorabon , provincial office representative Ellayne Abellera, and technical expert Adelina Ngopangop conducted the evaluation.Napudo said this rigorous assessment resulted in the accreditation which allows the center to certify handloom weavers based on NC2 standards.
