NSW Police,Drug Possision,Truck Crash

New South Wales Police have charged the driver of a truck which allegedly slammed into a Sydney school with possession of methylamphetamine, as they continue to investigate the cause of the crash.

A 21-year-old man who allegedly struck 19 vehicles before mounting the curb and slamming into a Sydney school has been charged with drug possession, as police allege they found methylamphetamine and an ice pipe in the cabin of his truck.

The driver was subsequently taken to Liverpool Hospital to be treated for what police understand to be non-life-threatening injuries. On Sunday, NSW Police issued a statement revealing they had allegedly discovered methylamphetamine and an ice pipe in the truck's cabin following a search, with the 21-year-old driver now charged with possessing illegal drugs.

Photos of the scene showed the extent of the damage, with the front and back end of one black 4WD completely caved in and the gates of St Joseph's Catholic Primary School smashed to the ground.
