PM gives history lesson, says federal constitution is supreme

THE federal constitution, formed with the independence of the nation in 1957, is the supreme law of the country, superseding the state constitutions that have been in place even before, said Dr Mahathir Mohamad. “The constitutions of Johor and Terengganu which were promulgated earlier were nullified by the new constitution which was accepted by all the states of Malaysia,” said the prime minister in hisEffective July 2018, access to full reports will only be available with a subscription.
