Parents 'disgusted' with school's sock ban because girls keep rolling skirts up

Parents have criticised school bosses for banning school socks because girls are rolling their skirts up.

It adds: "It is our responsibility, as a family of Trust academies, to do what we can to take that pressure off our children." "It's disgusting they are jumping in at the deep end when they haven't tried anything to fix the issue previously. Boys are always being challenged about wearing trainers. Why haven't girls been challenged about rolling their skirts up?"

"Some of you and your children might be upset or disagree with these changes and I realise that some individuals could feel it is a freedom being removed because of others; however, our primary concern is very much about removing the pressure on girls to adhere to societal norms that they disagree with.
