Union says members do not have 'full and transparent information' about proposed changes

Teachers at a primary school in Bootle could take strike action over the school's plans to become part of an academy.

The National Education Union said the indicative ballot comes after the NEU members at the school were informed of the decision to join the MAT with limited Trade Union representation. The union said the ballot was overwhelming in support of future action. Conor Quinn, Assistant Branch Secretary for Sefton NEU, said: “The decision to undertake indicative ballot for strike action is always the last resort for our members.
