Offaly teacher tells of feeling forced to return to school despite feeling ‘broken’

, Co Offaly said she felt compelled to go back to work after a miscarriage despite feeling “broken”.

However, after being at home for a few days waiting for things to progress, she began to worry about using up her sick leave. While Ms Byrne became pregnant again, she found out she had a second miscarriage at the end of the following August. “Fertility treatment, scans for possible difficulties, difficulties with IVF should all be covered,”she said.

How about work longer and half pay for sickies? Wasters

How many days of sick leave did that woman say teachers are “entitled” to? On top of 2/3 months Summer holidays? Good Lord woman - get real! No sympathy - although I feel for you on your miscarriages.

You go to a doctor and get signed off sick ....

It must have been woman is fit for work a couple of days after losing a baby. Christ, it,s backwards we are going.
