The University of the Philippines Fighting Maroons retained its championship in the Filoil EcoOil Preseason Cup by defeating the De La Salle University Green Archers during the Finals face-off on June 12, 2024 in San Juan City.
The NCAA group include San Beda College, Arellano University, College of St. Benilde, Emilio Aguinaldo College , Jose Rizal University , Colegio San Juan de Letran, Lyceum of the Philippines University , Mapua University, University of Perpetual Help, and San Sebastian University. The tournament format include single-round robin eliminations, with the top four from each group advancing to the crossover playoffs.
Three of the Fighting Maroons’ 14 podium finishes include gold in Men’s Judo, Women’s Swimming and Men’s Football. Securing tickets will continue to be a challenging feat in every game due to the increasing number of enthusiastic fans eager to shout “UP Fight” as the UP Fighting Maroons battle it out to earn the spot for the final games.
