Meet Michael and Charlie Weiner, twins at Clark High School who graduated with distinct honors.

SAN ANTONIO – They say ‘sibling support’ propelled them to success.“I’m going to be the salutatorian of Clark High School,” said Charlie.They’re sophomore transfers to Clark, who moved to the head of the class.

“We both got our report cards back that January, and we were ranked one and two,” remembered Charlie. “So yeah, it was a pleasant surprise. I definitely didn't come in expecting that.”“It's an accomplishment that I worked very hard towards, and I'll always be proud of it,” said Michael. “And I can look back - just a reminder that I'm capable. Transferring into a new environment. I was able to make the most of it.

“I kind of have, like, a built-in friend and competitor at the same time. We do compete, but we're able to collaborate and bounce off of each other. “We've never raced,” said Charlie. “I've asked him to a couple times, but he just wanted to sprint against me, and after he did track for a year.”“Duke University and biology,” said Michael.CLICK HERE for more 'Salute to Seniors' stories...“It'll be kind of weird because I have friends that are going to UT, so it'll kind of feel like high school, but like, the one thing that I've had my entire life, just won't be there,” said Charlie.

“We have phones now, so we'll be in touch for sure,” said Michael. “It's gonna be weird. We've never been apart for that long. So we'll have to see.”
