ILOILO CITY — The Schools Division Office of Iloilo is pushing for the filing of administrative charges against a teacher implicated in the death of a Grade 10 learner from Maasin, Iloilo in May.SDO Iloilo Superintendent Ernesto Servillon Jr., said the office has recommended to the Department of Education Western Visayas the filing of administrative complaints to the teacher, citing the 'administrative interests' they found in the verification process they conducted.
'Once the grades are shown to the parents, it should already be the final grade and not the initial grade,' he said. The SDO-Iloilo, however, clarified that in corroborating the circumstantial events and statements related to the incident, they cannot conclude that the death of the child is related to his grades.
