Osun to recruit 2,000 food vendors for school feeding

No fewer than 2,000 food vendors will be recruited by the Osun State Government to enhance the State Elementary School Feeding and Health Programme known as O’MEALS.

Olaniyan, who lauded the efforts of the present administration for sustaining the feeding programme, said the employment opportunity would empower women. Olaniyan described the huge success recorded since the establishment of the scheme as unprecedented, particularly in alleviating poverty in the society.“Governor Oyetola has approved the recruitment of another set of food vendors who will be preparing nutritious meals for our pupils in every school day across the state.

“The recruitment exercise was conceived to empower unemployed women in the state and as well help to eradicate poverty and hunger.

Osun state is always doing funny things. Always!

Are the children just going to school to eat?Why not focus on infrastructure and teachers welfare more, so you can get their best?

Can they just empower the parents and avoid another opening for mismanagement of funds?

That's not how to tackle poverty. Simply empower their parents; they know how to take care of their God-given children.

don't start what u can't finish

Great value addition, with trickle down effect. Worth commending

Scandal

Can they provide free education instead of this unhealthy food thing?

is good

I pray that there is a good end to this...Cos its only beginning Nigerian Politicians that don't have a good end corresponding to their good start...I pray for the continuity and better end.
