Enterprise’s Andrew Purcell intercepts a pass during a preps football game, Friday, November 17, 2023, in Semmes, Ala. “It’s really cool,” Enterprise head coach Ben Blackmon said. “I’m proud for both. They are both hard workers and obviously really talented players with a bright future ahead of them. It’s definitely big for our school. I’ve had both of these guys for three years. I definitely feel like Enterprise football is on the way up.
Winters is ranked as the No. 5 senior recruit in the state, according to the 247 composite rankings. Grady, a transfer from Charles Henderson, is No. 6. Purcell is No. 18. “He’s a very good player,” Blackmon said. “He’s a really good man-to-man guy. He’s been a three-year starter. He also competes in the high jump. He’s an explosive kid.”“I think his explosiveness and athletic ability really sets the bar high for him for the future,” Blackmon said. “He’s going to continue to be consistent in his approach and that will allow him to get better and better each day.”
