Former University of Johannesburg vice-chancellor pocketed almost R55m in five years

As vice chancellor and principal of the University of Johannesburg, Ihron Rensburg was paid R54.8 million over five years.

This cumulative amount was paid to Rensburg between 2013 to 2017, according to a 297-page report compiled by the Council on Higher Education .
