The National University of Singapore said yesterday it will convene a committee to review its disciplinary and support frameworks, after a female undergraduate accused it of not doing enough to punish a fellow student who had filmed her showering.

"I want real consequences for perpetrators that commit such acts and I want to know that NUS will reprimand them seriously so other potential perpetrators know they will face punishment if they commit ," she wrote on her Instagram page. She also revealed the identity of the male student. "We understand that the male student concerned received a 12-month conditional warning from the police," the statement said.

She shouted and the person ran away, said Ms Baey. A girl who was outside the shower stall saw the man running down a staircase. why is it that only the victim's name is all over the news without revealing the perpetrator's name Nicholas Lim Jun Kai when he was caught red handed? Isn't this genderbiased and stigmatizing the victim? Why are we protecting the perpetrator's identity?

As a fellow Singaporean, this cannot be taken lightly. I am sure that the victim has suffered from this incident. Really hope that more can be done to help her out. Sigh...

Any comment from the Attorney General?

Taking upskirt photo would be charged, right? However, not for filming female showering? Something wrong...
