Alden Richards recently took to Davao City in Mindanao to join in on the Philippine Independence Day festivities held this week.During his trip down south, Alden made time to visit a historic Japanese tunnel in Davao City, which dates back to World War II.The visit served as a learning experience for Alden, who plays the role of Eduardo in the family drama "Pulang Araw," which is set in the backdrop of World War II.
Per the report, six prisoners of war were found in that very jail, which Asia's Multimedia Star checked out for himself."Na-enrich nito 'yung experience ko while doing my character and also it enriched my knowledge and parang mga ideas ko about what really happened," said Alden. He also shared that he found the war scenes in "Pulang Araw" challenging, as well as learning the way of speaking Filipino from that time period.
